Currently lives in: Michigan

2011:

I attended Howard Elementary 1-6 grades, then Alamo Heights Junior school part of 7th grade, then attended 7th and 8th grades at St Pius X on Harry Wurzback. I went to Antonian prep school for 9th grade, broke my arm playing football at Antonian in 10th grade(had to leave Antonian, could not afford tuition), then attended Alamo Heights High School  my Sophomore year (attended summer school - woodshop that same year at AHHS remember making a wood key holder/hanger for my project in summer school) dropped out of school Junior year. I do remember going to the mule stall several times to play pool and try to meet people-didn't have much luck.I knew a few people not many (Ilse Garrett and Linda Perry) classmates. I wish, I would have finished my high school education at AHHS it was a great school-(looking back).
I got my GED and attended SAC and St. Philips colleges.
I grew up in Alamo Heights (331 Abiso) went to the nature trails often, spent most of the summers hanging out Alamo Heights swimming pool, jumping/diving off the 10 meter, playing in the dugouts at the Little League field, walking across Olmos Dam after a heavy rain to see what the water level was behind the Dam, eating bean-burgers at Sills snack shack or visiting the Bun & Barrel on Austin Hwy,
sliding down the fire escapes at Cambridge elementary(especially the big one),and looking forward to Fiesta time in San Antonio. Also, nearly grew up in the VFW post #76 on 10-10th street off Broadway, my mom, aunt, father and grandmother were very active members. I loved to ride the elevator at the VFW to the basement and visit the attic in the VFW, where I was  certain I was not playing alone. There are rumors of two ghosts, which also adds to the VFWs mystic. Members attest to seeing a girl running up and down the stairs and a old man who likes to move furniture, they both share the name "Charly". I didn't learn the information about the two ghosts at the VFW till a few years ago, then it dawned on me that maybe that's why i never felt alone when I was playing in the attic or in the basement,or saw blurs of someone in my peripheral vision running up and down the stairs at the VFW.
I met my life-long companion, friend, lover (Christiane Paiz) in the summer of 1982 in San Antonio, Texas and
married her in the summer of 1983 in San Antonio.June 11th 2011 makes 28 years my lovely wife and I have been married and i don't regret a minute of it.
We moved to Michigan in 1985 and have lived here ever since. We have a son and daughter (son-35 & daughter 29) and four grand-daughters (two from my son and two from my daughter, ages 2-3-5 and 10 yrs old).
I dearly Love San Antonio and a big part of my heart still will always be in Texas. I will be 58 yrs old on August 18, 2011- (my how time flys).

My best to you-all!
Leonard (lenny) Traina
