skiing backwards on Lake McQueeney. Do you remember Johnny Blackburn
and Noel Petty? Johnny was a professional waterskier. He could jump
ski, and ski barefoot. He went to architecture school. That’s the
last I heard of him.
(Toni Note: I was Kay's neighbor '65-'71: in the 60's Kay was quite
a skier and trick skier. She taught me how to ski holding the rope handle
with my foot! Her dad would pull 10 or more of us behind his Century.
The skiers on the outside would have to drop off when we went under
the bridges. LOL. In the summers, Kay skied in the McQueeney Ski Show
on Sunday evenings. I'll never forget the fun memories of summers at
